Tabitha Empowerment Centre Visits Safe Haven Foundation: A Meeting of Shared Purpose

Tabitha visits

On June 11, 2025, the Founder of Safe Haven Foundation (SHF) had the honor of hosting a courtesy visit from Tabitha Empowerment Centre (TEC), led by its Founder and Executive Director, Madam Christina Uzo-Okamgbaa. TEC is a remarkable organization committed to empowering women and vulnerable groups through holistic support and sustainable development initiatives.

The visit provided an opportunity for both organizations to exchange ideas, share experiences, and explore avenues for strategic collaboration in tackling Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).

During the meeting, teams from both sides engaged in an open dialogue about survivor-centered interventions, community outreach, and long-term empowerment for women and girls. The alignment in values and vision was clear; both organizations are committed to breaking cycles of abuse and building strong support systems for survivors.

The Founder of SHF, Professor Fatima Waziri-Azi, expressed deep appreciation for the visit and emphasized the power of partnerships in driving meaningful change: “At Safe Haven Foundation, we believe collaboration is key to sustainable impact. Tabitha Empowerment Centre brings on board a wealth of experience and passion, and we look forward to what we can achieve together.”

In the coming months, both organizations will work toward formalizing a partnership framework focused on diverse areas.
