SHF and TEC Formalize Partnership to Advance Survivor-Centred Justice and Community Empowerment

On 3 October 2025, Safe Haven Foundation (SHF) and Tabitha Empowerment Centre (TEC) executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize collaboration between both organizations. The MoU was signed by Professor Fatima Waziri-Azi, Founder of SHF, and Madam Christian Uzo-Okamgba, Founder of TEC.

The partnership is designed to strengthen community engagement to expand prevention and early reporting; legal interventions that improve access to justice; research and publication to inform evidence-based programming and policy; and survivor-centred services, including emergency sheltering and psychosocial support.

SHF is already partnering with TEC on the TEC Girls Vanguard Project, a one-year initiative in Jikwoyo community, Abuja, to transform the lives of 30 girls through education, mentorship, leadership development, and access to opportunities.

This MoU reflects a shared commitment to deliver measurable, survivor-focused outcomes and to strengthen systems that protect dignity, safety, and justice.
